"Where People and Technology Unite as One"

Business  Start-Up

Why?  Why did you start your business or why are you thinking about starting one?  The answers to this important question vary from ridiculous to scary.  A majority of the time I hear "It is always something I wanted to do."

You need a better reason to start a business than that.  I see people starting businesses that have never run any type of business let alone worked in one like that which they are starting.  Ok, I once worked in a restraunt as a busboy, but trying to run one with this as my expertise is just plan foolish.  A lot of thought goes into starting a business, or should I say it should.  Then comes the important question, "Let's take a look at your business plan. Trying to start a business without first planning every move is like building a business plan?" Starting a business without a business plan is like building a home without blueprints.  You may get it done, but at what cost?

Do you remember that question that I asked earlier, "Why did you get into this business?"  Would you believe that 8 times out of 10 most people answer, "This is something I always wanted to do."  But, here is a reality check:

FACT:  Nine (9) out of ten (10) new businesses fail within the first year.  The ones that do make it, six (6) out of ten (10) fail within five (5) years.

Now that we have your attention, lets see what can be do to help you and your business succeed.

  1. Plan for EVERYTHING

  2. SWEAT the Small Stuff

  3. NEVER Say No, No Matter What

  4. Never Accept a No from a Person Who is NOT Empowered to Give You a YES

  5. You have Two Ears and One Mouth (Listen MORE Talk Less)

  6. Listen with the Intent to Understand, NOT with the Intent to Respond

  7. Tell EVERYONE (Network Your Business)

  8. Keep Up With a CHANGING Market

Sounds easy doesn't it?  But why do so many business fail?  They fail because of four things that are summed up into single words:

  • They don't PLAN.

  • They don't LISTEN.

  • They don't EVALUATE.

  • They don't CHANGE

Starting your own business is not easy, and J.A.S. Technologies, Inc. can help.  Remember the old expression, "Two heads are better than one?"  The more knowledge you have ,the better your chance for survival. Do not become a statistic, ask for help and improve your company's chances for success.
